1. Purpose. This memorandum describes the availability and contact information for Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) support ahead of, and during, the 2024 General Election.
2. Extended Hours Ahead of Election Day.
Normal office hours for WEC support are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to the normal schedule, WEC staff will be available to support clerks during the following times
Saturday, October 26th | 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. |
Sunday, October 27th | 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. |
Thursday, October 31st | 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
Friday, November 1st | 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
Saturday, November 2nd | 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. |
Sunday, November 3rd | 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. |
Monday, November 4th | 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
3. Election Day/Night Schedule.
WEC Staff will be available for approximately 37 continuous hours starting at 5:00 a.m. on Election Day, November 5, 2024, and ending the following evening at 6:00 p.m., November 6, 2024.
4. Critical Events or After Hours.
In the event of a critical event requiring the immediate attention of WEC, clerks may call the Wisconsin Emergency Management 24-hour Operations Center at: 1-800-943-0003. The duty officer there can reach WEC leadership 24/7. Do not use this number to report emergencies requiring first responders. For immediate police, fire, or EMS support call 911.
